My final project, created as part of my degree, was inspired by a childhood memory of mine.

It tells the story of a young woman who travels back in time, where she meets her younger self. 

In their encounter, she tries to prevent her younger self from

having a painful experience, but fails to do so. 

In the end, the young woman manages to overcome

the negative emotions thanks to this meeting between the two.

It was important to me to give the story an optimistic ending, as a way to support and

encourage others who went through similar childhood experiences to overcome their own pain.

I chose to use a cut-out (collage) technique,

which visually brings the story to life as if it all unfolds within the pages of a sketchbook.
